1978

Overview

Early summer 2008 for a couple weeks straight I listened to nothing but ambient/electronic music and this design came to me during this time. I started with the year 1978 which is the year I was born and worked on a variety of ways I could display those numbers. I decided on a grid of circles because it reminded me of digital read-outs and light bulbs. I also worked in some subtle geometric patterns throughout the piece which provide depth and a nice contrast to all of the circular forms.
